Mike Fortune notes the difference between compliance and interoperability. "This remark makes clear the distinction that RFID suppliers are making between “interoperability” and “compliance”. Put simply it means that the Alliance have found a way to produce tags that will work with each others’s systems, but cannot be said to be truly compliant with ISO 28560-2."
