A Selection of Galecia Clients - Past and Present

The Galecia Group works with libraries, regional library systems and consortia plus other organizations that support these institutions including the following:


Metrowest Massachusetts Regional Library System
Evaluating the delivery operations of all six regional systems and analyzing options for optimizing services for the entire state through consolidation and/or automation.

King County Library System
Developing software requirements specification for integrated library system to be developed on open source platform such as Evergreen.

North Suburban Library System
Evaluated delivery system and provided recommendations for reducing costs and planning for increases in volume while reducing staff costs.

Solano County Library
Evaluated materials handling operation including delivery and processing of deliveries at each branch, plus technical services. Provided recommendations for improving efficiency, automating sort, and reducing repetitive steps involved in processing materials. Assisted with planning for new building to house technical services and delivery operations.

Santa Clara County Library
Assisted with the evaluation of the public access computing system and is now on contract to assist with migration to new platform and assisting with related IT projects as needed.

Metropolitan New York Library Council (METRO)
Ongoing work with METRO to improve delivery and related services.

The Peninsula Library System (PLS)
Analyzed the PLS delivery system and made several recommendations for improvements that saved the system money and improved service. PLS continues to call on The Galecia Group when special technology projects arise.

The Infopeople Project
Provide a variety of services including project management of technology projects, software analysis, desktop engineering for public access computers, technology consulting, curriculum and web content development and teaching.

Golden Gateway Library Network
Analyzed their materials delivery plan for this 171-library network and made recommendations for optimizing and expanding their delivery services.
